We think we’ve solved the site performance issues that caused us (and some other sites) to grind to a near-halt last week. One thing we’ve done is to change WordPress themes to something we hope will not cause a heavy load on the server.
We’ll let you know more as we learn more. It’s an interesting lesson, no matter what, because in a world where we all can be our own media creators, this kind of issue is likely to be more prevalent, not less.
